Climate
Seychelles enjoys an
equitable climate
with temperatures
ranging between 24
and 32 degrees
centigrade. The year
is divided between
the northwest trade
winds (hot & wet,
from December to
March) and those of
the southeast (cool
& dry from may to
September). The
periods between the
trades (March, April,
May/October,
November) are
normally calm and
windless.
Communications
There is no signal
for mobile phones on
Denis Island. The
hotel receptionist
will be pleased to
help you with any
local or
international calls.
Credit cards
We accept all major
credit cards.
Currency
The local currency
is the Seychelles
Rupee (SCR) made up
of 100 cents. Notes
are in denominations
of 10, 25, 50 and
100 with coins from
5SCR down.
Dress Code
Although the hotel
prides itself on an
informal atmosphere,
gentlemen are
requested to wear a
shirt and long
trousers for dinner
Electricity
Voltage is 220-240
v/50 hz supplied
through 15 amp, 3
pin (square) plugs.
Adaptors are
available at
reception.
Golf
There is no golf
course on the island
but golf clubs and
balls are available
for practice on the
airfield.
Medical
Seychelles enjoys a
healthy climate with
none of the major
tropical diseases
found on the African
continent. Visitors
arriving from south
America or Africa
(excluding south
Africa) are required
to present a valid
yellow fever
vaccination
certificate on
arrival in
Seychelles.
There is no yellow
fever or malaria in
Seychelles. Guests
should be sure to
bring any personal
medication they may
require with them.
Visas
Seychelles requires
no entry visas.
Documents required
for immigration
clearance are: A
valid passport,
proof of
accommodation, valid
return or onward
ticket and
sufficient funds for
the duration of your
stay.
Compliance with the
above will grant you
a visitors permit
with a validity of 1
month that, however,
may be extended upon
application to the
Department of
Immigration.
